Turkmenistan is becoming a crucial link in the supply chain between Europe and Asia amid the evolution of global trade routes and the redefinition of supply chains, according to Beata Peksa, the European Union Ambassador to Turkmenistan.
"We see enormous potential for expanding our economic ties. Our goal is to create conditions for greater trade, greater investment, and more sustainable economic development led by the private sector," she said during the first EU-Turkmenistan Business Forum.
According to the ambassador, EU-Turkmenistan cooperation is based on a solid analytical framework and international best practices. In this context, she mentioned the EU-funded project to create a competitive investment climate in the country as part of its prosperity assistance programs. The project aims to simplify business procedures, increase regulatory transparency, develop digitalization, enhance human capital, and expand the conditions for attracting foreign direct investment.
Peksa emphasized that the European Union is ready to continue working to create a modern, competitive business environment capable of attracting both domestic and foreign investors.
