"Balkan Shipbuilding and Repair Plant" and Royal IHC have agreed to jointly build a seabed dredging vessel in Turkmenistan.

As part of his business visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Deputy CEO of "Balkan Shipbuilding and Repair Plant" had several meetings with the management of the Royal IHC company, the world leader in the construction of seabed dredging and seabed dredging vessels.

The meeting was held at Royal IHC headquarters in Sledrecht. Within the framework of the meeting, the Deputy General Director of the "Balkan" Shipbuilding and Repair Plant introduced the company's management with the capacity, technical capabilities, experience in ship repair and the new project of construction of the first dry cargo ships of the Balkan Plant.

In the framework of the meeting, special attention was paid to the proposal of the Balkan plant, in particular, localization and joint construction of a seabed dredging vessel in the territory of Turkmenistan and development of bilateral cooperation with the Royal IHC company were discussed.

During the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed interest in using the project documents of the Royal IHC company for the construction of a seabed dredger at the Balkan plant. Royal IHC executives also enthusiastically supported the initiative and expressed their willingness to work together. The parties agreed to prepare technical and cost proposals for the implementation of the project.

At present, more than 90 seabed dredging vessels of this company are used in Turkmenistan. Cooperation with the Royal IHC company will allow not only to renew the fleet of seabed dredging vessels, but also to reach a new level of development in the country's shipbuilding industry.
