The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan are holding the International Competition “International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue” and Brain Ring among students of higher educational institutions of Central Asia, the Caspian states, Turkey and China. The events will take place in the Turkmen capital from May 22 to 25.

The competition will be held in the form of individual and team competitions. On May 23, as part of the individual stage, a test will be conducted, consisting of 30 questions on the topic of regional and international relations, their political-diplomatic, trade-economic, historical-cultural and other relevant areas.

The individual stage of the international competition starts on the same day. Participants will be required to complete 5 written assignments, the content of which includes new areas of mathematical methods in modeling sustainable development, the field of modeling international negotiations, the use of information technology in the study of international economic relations, the study of global trends in international transport logistics, the use of mathematics and mathematical modeling in making optimal decisions in international relations and others.

On May 24, the participants will have to perform in the team stage of the international competition. Within its framework, students will be asked to complete from 5 to 10 tasks on the application of mathematical methods in international relations, mathematical modeling, econometrics, logistics and other areas.

Next, the contestants will take part in a thematic brain-ring, following which the jury will award active participants, the best discussions, teams, as well as constructive ideas and proposals put forward during the game. The main goal of the brainstorming session is to present optimal methods of dialogue and cooperation between international actors and their types as a result of the analysis of current issues on the international and regional agenda.

The jury of the Olympiad will include teachers from participating universities and representatives of scientific institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries.

The winners of the competition will be awarded medals and diplomas of appropriate degrees, as well as certificates of honor and gifts.
