On May 7, 2024, in London, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the UK held a solemn event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.

The event was attended by Ambassadors of foreign countries, representatives of the British Parliament, the International Maritime Organization, the British Library, teaching staff of higher educational institutions in London, representatives of British companies, the Turkmen diaspora and Turkmen students studying in higher educational institutions.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan Y. Seryaev in his speech spoke about the planned international and national events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great thinker and classical poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi in 2024. During the event, poems by Magtymguly Fragi were read, and videos dedicated to the development of Turkmenistan and the work of Magtymguly Fragi were shown.

Then the solemn event continued with a visit to the exhibition of works of Turkmen classics, national clothing, jewelry and examples of decorative and applied art of the Turkmen people.
