The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree on rice production in 2026.
At a government meeting on March 27, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution “On rice production in Turkmenistan in 2026.”
In accordance with the document, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Association "Türkmengallaönümleri", and the hyakimliks of the Daşoguz and Lebap velayats in the corresponding etraps of these velayats are instructed to ensure the production of a high rice yield by establishing production and crop rotation on a scientific basis in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology.
The document was signed to continue reforms implemented in the country's agricultural sector, further increase the volume of agricultural production, and produce high rice yields.
