Today, February 18, is the day of diplomatic staff of Turkmenistan. On this occasion, ceremonies were held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Leaders and specialists of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, representatives of foreign countries and international organizations in Turkmenistan, representatives of the mass media, professors of higher educational institutions took part in them.
First of all, the honored guests witnessed the opening ceremony of the "Diplomatic Protocol" specialized training center of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During it, the future activities of the specialized training center were introduced. Then the participants of the festive celebrations visited the exhibition dedicated to the day of diplomatic staff of Turkmenistan, as well as the renovated museum of the institute. The exhibition reflected the important directions of the country's foreign policy, the processes implemented by international organizations, and the work being done in training young Turkmen diplomats.
Then, an international conference entitled "Peace Doctrine of Magtymguly Pyragy and Diplomacy of Neutral Turkmenistan" was held in the large conference hall of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. At the beginning of it, the greeting sent by the Honorable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the Day of Diplomatic Staff of Turkmenistan was read. Deputy Premier of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan Michael Uwe Birhoff, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Ali Mardan attended the meeting. Rosebehani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to Turkmenistan Luigi Ferrari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok spoke.
In the speeches, the role of the benevolent and peace-loving foreign policy of Turkmenistan in international relations, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, and the initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan aimed at the general well-being of the country were highlighted. At the end of the conference, a greeting was accepted to the honorable President of Turkmenistan on behalf of the participants.
Then the master diplomats of the Diplomatic Service of Turkmenistan were awarded the badge of distinction called "Master Diplomat of Turkmenistan". Also, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and graduate students of the Institute of International Relations were awarded with diplomas.
After the ceremony, a reception was organized in honor of the Day of Diplomatic Officers of Turkmenistan. After the reception, the guests watched a festive concert prepared by the creative team of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Day of Diplomatic Staff of Turkmenistan.
