The Turkmen delegation, consisting of representatives of the «Turkmendenizderyayollary» agency, took part in the meeting of a group of autonomous experts in the field of shipping in the Asia-Pacific region, which was held in Pattaya, the Kingdom of Thailand.
During the meeting, participants discussed current issues in the development of autonomous shipping, shared their developments and best practices in implementing the requirements of international conventions, ensuring the safety of navigation and preventing environmental pollution. They considered the possibilities of implementing a regional project to develop autonomous shipping.
Particular attention was paid to improving the safety of ships by introducing new autonomous technologies in their construction. The meeting participants discussed the possibilities and also got acquainted with the work of the Pattaya ports. During the visit, representatives of «Turkmendenizderyayollary» took part in presentation events at various port terminals and an interview at the Laem Chabang port.
