What laws were adopted in Turkmenistan in 2025.

In 2025, Turkmenistan held four sessions of the national parliament, and 27 laws were adopted. This was reported by Mejlis Speaker D. Gulmanova at an expanded government meeting.

The laws adopted included:

The Constitutional Law "On the Legal Foundations of the Policy of Peace and Trust of Neutral Turkmenistan,"

"On the Approval and Enactment of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan,"

"On the Court,"

"On the Unified State Register of Voters,"

"On the Establishment of the Commemorative Medal of Turkmenistan "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna,"

"On Approval of the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2026,"

"On Virtual Assets,"

"On Scientific Intellectual Property,"

"On Accession to the Protocol to the International Convention on Load Lines,"

"On the ratification of the Treaty of Eternal Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China"

"On ratification of the Protocol amending the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters of 22 January 1993."

In addition, in order to bring the country's legislative system into line with the requirements of the new historical era and generally accepted norms of international law, amendments and additions have been made to certain existing laws concerning criminal, arbitration, civil, criminal procedure, criminal-executive, family, labor, tax, administrative-industrial relations, activities in the field of automobile transport, as well as issues of communications, migration, internal affairs agencies, customs, and state pension insurance.

Summarizing the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that work is underway in the country to strengthen the legal framework, noting that the adopted laws are designed to promote the further prosperity of the independent Fatherland and ensure a prosperous and happy life for the people, the head of state said, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
