On March 4, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China P. Durdyev met with China's Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Liu Bin for a detailed exchange of views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between the two countries.
It was emphasized that Turkmen-Chinese relations are based on ancient friendship and brotherhood, shared spiritual and cultural values, and the principles of peacefulness, mutual respect, and humanism, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
In this regard, the parties noted that there are ample opportunities for further strengthening cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The diplomats confirmed the strategic nature of relations between the two countries and their mutual interest in their further development, also noting that the continuation of harmonious and mutually beneficial relations within the framework of international organizations is fully in the common interests of the two states.
