Turkmenistan confirmed its readiness for substantive dialogue with European partners on new natural gas supply routes, long-term contracts, and joint renewable energy projects. This was stated by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov at a business reception with representatives of the UK business community, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Meredov emphasized that Turkmenistan possesses some of the world's largest natural gas reserves and has proven its status as a reliable and responsible partner for many years. He added that the revision of energy strategies by European countries opens up new opportunities for cooperation.
The head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry also highlighted the country's role in developing the Middle Corridor and modernizing transport infrastructure, including the Turkmenbashi port, citing these as additional entry points for British business. Energy, petrochemicals, agro-industrial sector, technology, and infrastructure were named as priority areas for investment cooperation.
Meredov noted that Turkmenistan is consistently developing a favorable investment environment, which includes legal guarantees, international arbitration mechanisms, and special economic regimes.
