The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization announced the holding of the student festival “The Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy”, which will be held in the format of a competition.

The event is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great classic of the East and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy, and is also aimed at highlighting the humanistic thought of the poet, his patriotism and moral purity embedded in his works, the press service of the Magtymguly Youth Organization reports.

The competition will be held among universities of Turkmenistan. It is expected that as part of the first stage, which will take place from February 10 to March 10, universities will prepare performances with the participation of the most talented students in given thematic areas.

Among these areas: a monologue (5-10 min) about the artistic image of Magtymguly Pyragy in the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov; expressive reading of a poem by Magtymguly Pyragy (5-7 min); performance of a folk song based on a poem by Magtymguly Pyragy (3-5 min); staging a skit about events from the life of Magtymguly Pyragy (7-10 min); reading students' original works about Magtymguly Pyragy; artistic composition about the work of Magtymguly Pyragy during the Renaissance era of a new era of a powerful state (7-10 min).

On March 15-20, universities will exercise the right to present the best performances as part of the planned festival, which will be held at the state level. An appropriate group will be established to evaluate student performances. Students who presented the best performances will be awarded certificates of honor and gifts from the organizers.
