On February 14, 2024 year “Turkmen Logistics” Association and CILT Central Asia with the support of the USAID program for trade in Central Asia organized an online round table on the topic: “Turkmen Logistics” Association and CILT Central Asia with the support of the USAID program for trade in Central Asia.
The round table was attended by exporters, shippers, forwarders, carriers, logistics companies of Central Asian countries, representatives of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the «Turkmendenizderyayollary» Agency, the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan OJSC, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Intergovernmental Commission (IPC) TRACECA, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as industry regional associations.
The purpose of the event is to increase awareness of the services provided by the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, increase transit traffic through the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, familiarize participants with alternative cargo transportation routes, which will expand trade relations between Central Asian countries in the direction of other countries.
During the round table, practical issues related to the transportation of goods were discussed, including transportation through the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, transportation schedules and rates, forwarding services, logistics services, paperwork, and issues of transit procedures.
