As reported in the “Vatan” news program, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, stated this on February 24 during a working trip to the city of Arkadag.

The speaker of the highest body of people's power inquired about the progress of the construction of modern residential buildings in the new city and the work to resettle the population in them, and also instructed, on the occasion of International Women's Day, to study issues related to providing large families with comfortable housing.

Governor of the city of Arkadag Sh. Durdylyev reported on the list of families who moved to modern residential buildings in the new city, and on the ongoing work in this direction.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inquired about the issues of social security of displaced people and said that problems related to drinking water, electricity and other things should not be allowed in housing. The necessary efforts should be made to ensure happy living of families in new houses, noted the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, addressing a number of specific instructions in this regard to the relevant leaders.
