
A regular meeting of the heads of security and intelligence services of the CIS member states was held in Samarkand on October 17. The event was attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The meeting reviewed the results of cooperation over the past year and discussed the challenges ahead.
The heads of delegations expressed their support for continuing dialogue on security issues for the sustainable and progressive development of the CIS countries.
After the meeting, a Memorandum was signed, confirming the need to further improve the existing interaction mechanism, expand the types and directions of cooperation to protect national interests and the security of the CIS countries from negative external influences.
