A meeting was held in Islamabad on the role of Turkmenistan's neutrality in promoting global peace.

    November.03.2025

The Gulf Observer news agency and the Gulf Observer Research Forum research center, together with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan, held a roundtable discussion titled "30 Years of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan Celebrated in the Year of International Peace and Confidence." This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

As noted in the report, the event was hosted by Muhammad Ali Pasha, a representative of The Gulf Observer news and analysis center.

The round table meeting was attended by Mohamed Yahya, the UN Resident Coordinator in Pakistan, as well as experienced experts, correspondents and representatives of Pakistani research centers and media. The speakers highly appreciated the positive foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan aimed at strengthening peace, trust and mutual understanding among peoples in the region and the world.

The participants of the event noted that thanks to the far-sighted foreign policy of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, Turkmenistan continues its consistent peaceful policy aimed at promoting dialogue, preventing conflicts, and ensuring sustainable development.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, A. Movlamov, spoke about the development path of neutral Turkmenistan over the past 30 years and the international events taking place in the country in 2025 - the Year of International Peace and Confidence.

The Round Table Meeting once again confirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to the policy of permanent neutrality and the country's important role in strengthening global peace and mutual trust.
