Political consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Serbia were held in Belgrade on October 30. The Turkmen delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov, and the Serbian side was led by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Damjan Jovic. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

As noted in the report, fruitful discussions were held on important issues on the bilateral agenda, and the level of political and diplomatic dialogue between the two countries was discussed.

The diplomats stressed the importance of holding regular political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. At the same time, the advisability of improving the contractual and legal framework of bilateral relations was confirmed.

Trade, the textile industry, and the export of polymers, fertilizers, and agricultural products were mentioned as promising areas of bilateral economic relations.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for developing cooperation in the fields of culture, education and tourism.
