As previously reported, the 4th meeting of the Interior Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization member states was held in Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran, on October 28. The meeting was attended by a delegation led by the Minister of Interior of Turkmenistan, Muhammet Khydyrov. This was reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Iran.

During the meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan made a speech. In his speech, it was noted the importance of strengthening cooperation, exchanging experiences and ensuring internal security within the framework of this organization. Minister M. Khydyrov also spoke about the work carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the visit, the head of the Turkmen delegation met with the Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Eskander Momeni, the Commander-in-Chief of the Police, Ahmad Reza Radan, the Minister of Justice, Amin Hossein Rahimi, the Deputy Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkey, Munir Karaloglu, and the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Asad Majid Khan.

During the meetings, the parties discussed issues such as further developing bilateral cooperation, in particular, exchanging mutual experiences, ensuring internal and regional security, and combating illicit drug trafficking and human trafficking.
