Following the conclusion of the high-level Turkmen-Uzbek talks in Tashkent, a ceremony was held to award the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the highest state award of Uzbekistan - the Order of "High-Level Friendship" (Oliy Darajali Dustlik).
As reported in the electronic edition of the Turkmenistan newspaper, in accordance with the Decree signed by the Uzbek Leader, the President of Turkmenistan was awarded this prestigious award for his great historical services in strengthening the close friendly relations, good neighborliness and strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, the comprehensive development of interstate relations, the continuous expansion of multilateral, long-term cooperation in trade, industry, transport, energy, agriculture, science, education, sports, and the humanitarian sphere, for his great contribution to the further rapprochement and unity of our fraternal peoples, the careful preservation of ancient history, national values, and traditions, the promotion of relations in the fields of culture and art, and the strengthening of global stability, mutual trust, cooperation and harmony in the region.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for this high award and said that he accepts it as a sign of respect for Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people.
It is worth noting that the National Leader of the Turkmen people was also awarded the "Higher Level Order of Friendship" as part of his friendly visit to Uzbekistan in April of this year.
