
On November 20, as part of the International Year of Peace and Confidence Building and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Herat, Afghanistan, held a ceremony in the conference hall of the Arg Hotel.
The event was attended by the governor of Herat province, representatives of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, heads of consular offices in Herat, and prominent representatives of the Turkmen diaspora living in Herat and Badghis provinces.
During the event, the importance of the international community recognizing our country's permanent neutrality was emphasized.
It was noted that neutral Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to enhancing peace and security in the world, developing mutual understanding between states and peoples, promoting friendly, trusting and fruitful cooperative relations, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition, the participants were particularly impressed by the videos dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Neutrality and the exhibition presenting the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people.
At the end of the event, according to the noble tradition, all participants and guests were served Turkmen national dishes.
