Recently, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Mowlamov held a meeting with Hasan Ali Zaigam, Director General of the Department for Central Asian States and the Economic Cooperation Organization of the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Embassy, during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Pakistani cooperation. Particular attention was paid to enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, such as trade and economy, energy, transport and transit, as well as cultural and humanitarian. The sides also exchanged views on regional developments and their impact on bilateral and multilateral relations.
Then, Ambassador A. Movlamov announced the publication of a special issue of the magazine "Diplomatic Insight" dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence and 30th anniversary of its permanent Neutrality, noting that it reflects Turkmenistan's economic development, positive neutrality policy, and contributions to global efforts aimed at promoting peace, sustainable development, and humanitarian cooperation. The Ambassador handed over several copies of the magazine to the Pakistani side for a closer look and distribution to interested government and public institutions of Pakistan.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan and agreed to maintain regular contacts at all levels.
