
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the Partnership Work Plan between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for 2026, presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday.
The plan includes a series of measures aimed at strengthening peace and security, ensuring sustainable development, expanding humanitarian cooperation, and developing preventive diplomacy. The plan also calls for measures to enhance customs, border, and cybersecurity, as well as addressing important issues related to economic development and regional economic cooperation, energy efficiency, environmental safety, and climate change.
At the same time, work is planned in such areas as science, education, protection of human rights and freedoms, development of the country's democratic institutions, ensuring gender equality, and improving the activities of the media.
The head of state noted that Turkmenistan places special emphasis on developing relations with international organizations, including the OSCE. Having approved the Work Plan, the President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to carry out the relevant work, TDH reports.
