
The first meeting of the interparliamentary friendship groups between Turkmenistan and Mongolia, established on a bilateral basis, took place on March 30 via videoconference, according to the website of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the Turkmen side presented the main directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, based on the principles of positive neutrality, peacefulness, trust, equality, and humanism. An overview of the composition of the national parliament and the work being carried out to provide legislative support for the large-scale socioeconomic reforms being implemented in various areas were provided.
The meeting emphasized the importance of interparliamentary dialogue in expanding the scope of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the opportunity to exchange experiences in the legislative work of interparliamentary friendship groups.
Participants exchanged views on the importance of intensifying bilateral ties between relevant committees, youth, women parliamentarians, and entrepreneurs, as well as holding meetings and consultations at the parliamentary level in support of interstate relations.
