
Speaking at a ceremony to launch the next phase of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline via the Arkadag white road in Afghanistan's Herat province on October 20, Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar said that the implementation of the TAPI project will help ensure the well-being of the peoples of the participating countries and create thousands of jobs. This was reported by the "Watan" news program.
Abdul Ghani Baradar also noted that the Afghan side views the TAPI project not only from an economic point of view, but also as an important step that will contribute to the development of cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
At the beginning of his speech, he welcomed the Heroic Arkady and the participants of the ceremony to Afghan soil and expressed the best wishes of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan, Alhaj Molla Mohammad Hasan Akhund.
Abdul Ghani Baradar noted that along the TAPI gas pipeline route, relevant infrastructure, such as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line, railways, highways, and logistics centers, will be created. This will create a unified system of trade and economic relations and energy cooperation in the region.
"Afghan-Turkmen relations are based on friendship and brotherhood, and common cultural and spiritual values," said Abdul Ghani Baradar, and on behalf of the Afghan side, expressed gratitude to Gahryman Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan for their support in developing joint cooperation.
