All 14 crew members of the Iranian cargo ship Rona, which sank in the Caspian Sea, were promptly rescued with the assistance of the Turkmen government and are in excellent health, according to the Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat.

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, on January 14, the country's coastal services received an SOS signal from the Iranian bulk carrier Rona in distress in the Caspian Sea.

Turkmenistan's state bodies responsible for emergency response and prevention, in accordance with international standards governing navigation, took all necessary measures to rescue people.

As a result of the prompt measures taken, all 14 people on board the vessel were rescued.
