
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will participate in an international forum in Ashgabat on December 12 to mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, International Neutrality Day, and the declaration of 2025 as the "Year of International Peace and Confidence." This was reported by the Russian leader's assistant Yuri Ushakov at a press briefing, Interfax.ru reports.
"At the invitation of the Turkmen side, our President is scheduled to participate in an international forum to be held in Ashgabat on December 12. This forum is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality," Y. Ushakov noted. He also informed journalists that on December 21-22, President V. Putin will visit St. Petersburg, where he will hold an informal meeting with the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
