    December.8.2025

The United States deeply respects and strongly supports Turkmenistan's positive neutrality. It also expresses its readiness to continue joint work to strengthen peace, security, and economic development in the region. This was stated by the US Ambassador to Turkmenistan Elizabeth Rudd in an interview published in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

"On behalf of the President of the United States of America and the American people, I extend our warmest congratulations to the Government and people of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, as recognized by the United Nations," the diplomat noted.

According to him, Turkmenistan, being the only neutral state officially recognized by the UN Resolution, is a global example of how neutrality can contribute to dialogue, strengthening trust and promoting peace. As Rud noted, Ashgabat confirms its commitment to neutrality not only with its unwavering stance on the world stage, but also with its concrete work in support of humanitarian initiatives.

The ambassador recalled that in June of this year, Turkmenistan helped evacuate citizens of 52 countries, including the United States, from the area of armed conflict. In November, the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need provided humanitarian aid to residents of Afghanistan affected by the earthquake.

"The United States and Turkmenistan are firmly committed to promoting prosperity, peace, and development through expanding economic and cultural ties," Rudd said. He emphasized the importance of platforms such as the C5+1 and B5+1 in strengthening bilateral cooperation and regional stability in Central Asia.

The diplomat expressed confidence in the future of US-Turkmenistan relations and congratulated President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Turkmen people on their national holiday.
