Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with King Charles III of Great Britain.

National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, made an official visit to the United Kingdom at the invitation of the royal family, during which he held talks and high-level meetings, the Vatan news program reports.

As part of his visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Windsor Castle. He was greeted by Edward Benyon, head of the Windsor Royal Equestrian Games organizing committee, and Sarah Rutherford George, a representative of the castle's organizational department.

The National Leader of the Turkmen People was then received by King Charles III of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The monarch greeted the distinguished guest with special honors. During the meeting, Charles III recalled his meeting with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in 2015, during commemorative events in Çanakkale, Turkey, noting that that meeting left an unforgettable impression. The King emphasized that the National Leader of the Turkmen People is widely known internationally as an outstanding politician and statesman, and that meeting him was a great honor for him.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked them for their kind words and conveyed heartfelt greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan.

Charles III also noted that the participation of Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, in the event is perceived as a sign of respect for the British people, and called this event historically significant.

At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the King of Great Britain exchanged wishes for peace and prosperity for the peoples of both countries.
