On April 8, an introductory meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia, Mukhammetgeldi Ayazov, and the newly appointed Head of the Department for the Eurasian Region of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Giorgi Kocharyan.
According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan, during the conversation, the sides noted the effective nature of bilateral and multilateral cooperation within the framework of authoritative international organizations. They also noted the development of political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and transport-communication relations, and emphasized the importance of comprehensively developing these areas in the future.
The meeting also touched upon the issue of organizing political consultations to be held in Yerevan at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia.
