President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has received numerous congratulatory letters on the inclusion of the National Monument "Traditions of Breeding Turkmen Alabai Dogs" on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
As reported by the "Watan" news program, the letters proudly emphasize that, along with the heavenly Akhal-Teke horses and beautiful carpets, the Turkmen Alabai occupies a special place among the values created by the Turkmen people over their centuries-old history, and that Alabai dogs are distinguished by their fearlessness, loyalty, and endurance.
On the occasion of the event that made the President of Turkmenistan proud, the Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, responsible officials of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan, and the vice-presidents of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow Charitable Foundation for Supporting Children in Need of Guardianship expressed their sincere congratulations. On behalf of the people of the country, the governors of the regions, Ashgabat and Arkadag cities, as well as the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, heads of military and law enforcement agencies congratulated.
