Good news has arrived for Turkmenistan from the UN Headquarters in New York. The Resolution “Additional Information on the Procedure for Holding the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries” was unanimously adopted at the 63rd plenary session of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. On this occasion, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow sent a congratulatory message to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, in which he expressed congratulations and best wishes to the head of state on behalf of the People's Council. This was reported by the “Watan” news program.
As the Chairman of the People's Council noted in his congratulatory letter, the UN General Assembly, in accordance with a new Resolution adopted by the League of Nations, determined that the "Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries" would be held in Turkmenistan, in the "Avaza" national tourist zone, from August 5 to 8 of this year.
The congratulatory message also emphasizes that the holding of the "International Conference of Transport Ministers of Landlocked Developing Countries" in Avaza in 2022 with the participation of international and regional organizations, during which important issues such as the creation of stable transit transport corridors will be discussed, demonstrates that Turkmenistan's initiatives to establish the principles of peace and trust in international relations are highly appreciated in the world.
